  • Personality Plus

    2007!
    Yeah… Welcome to 2007.
A new version of you! A new version of me! A new release!

*first post in year 2007. Hehe.

Speaking of you, me, and version. I just got back from a 3-day meeting in Cisarua last week. On one session, my boss (a very patient guy, really!) told us about getting to know people, to know their personality. He relied mostly on a book ‘Personality Plus’. About how a person can be analysed and grouped into 4 groups. Choleric, Melancholy, Phlegmatic, and Sanguine. Wiki up yourself.

And i asked him, ‘and,..what am I’, he told me ‘i see you as a Sanguine-choleric person’. And he started to tell me my weakness and strengths. I nod. Kinda true.

Got back home, i googled and then, i found a website that provide free test on personality. And guess what! I almost couldn’t believe my self, that my boss was 100% correct! 🙂

And it provide several explanation about Sanguine person and Choleric person. I read. I nod… mostly true about my self, but not all. Something i like (mostly not very true), something i don’t like (mostly yeah.. sometimes true!).

What i read, (and then i agree and i like) : cheerful, curious, enthusiastic, creative, colorful, loves people, makes the goal. Hihi.. i like all the strengths, and what i like the most : “is usually right, knows the right answers, is like by children’s friends..” hahaha.

What i read (and then i dont like, but mostly true) : interrupts and dont listen, forgetful, undisciplined, easily distracted, loud voice, loud laugh, gets angry easily, cant relax, impatient, rude, doesnt analyze details… damn it.. the list is ******g long!

Yeah, it’s NOT something you rely on to make judgement of people (judging people is not good, by the way).
But, it is quite fun… so try it your self.
Read, think, realise, and hopefully, in 2007, we can change our weaknesses into something good.

    This year, i will try to be ‘can relax, be patient, not get angry easily’. 🙂i{content: normal !important}

  • NEW YEAR

A friend asks me. What is New Year anyway. It’s just a regular day, the difference is this time we need to change the calendar. There should be nothing different between the day and the next-day. I nod. But then, i think, what is the meaning actually?

And by next minute, I disagree with my initial agreement. New Year is a special day. It is a day of celebration. From what? Celebration from the rising of new HOPE. Yes, H.O.P.E.

People need hope, after go through long 364 days of doing something that can take them to prosperity, not everyone succeed in doing so. Most of us need new chapter. New beginning. New episode. Dec 31st is a date where you can set to learn the previous 364 days. While Jan 1st is a date you can start all over.

New year, new day, new hope. I have many hope for 2007. And I bet you, Jan 1st is my new beginning. Have a happy new year, friends! Cheers!

  • Small Test

Just saw this small quiz in a friend’s blog, so just put my self to fill the test..
    😀

    The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You’d like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful… that you’ll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future… one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage something you’ve always wanted… though you haven’t really thought about it.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

  • Cheney

I couldn’t believe my self, but somehow i agree with James Dobson. He is writing in Time Magazine about  Mary Cheney (US Vice President’s daughter), who decided to raise her child with her lesbian partner.

I like the title of his article:
Two Mommies Is One Too Many : Mary Cheney is starting a family. Let’s hope she doesn’t start a trend.
Haha. Interesting (and quite provocative). Read it here.

It’s not about lesbian that i “concerned”, but i like James’ point :

With all due respect to Cheney and her partner, Heather Poe, the majority of more than 30 years of social-science evidence indicates that children do best on every measure of well-being when raised by their married mother and father.
That is not to say Cheney and Poe will not love their child.

But love alone is not enough to guarantee healthy growth and development. The two most loving women in the world cannot provide a daddy for a little boy–any more than the two most loving men can be complete role models for a little girl.

Like i mentioned before, i agree with James, somehow 🙂

  • Meet A Person

Earlier today, my friend just told me about how a person i know, is now actually works at his mother’s department, and the person i know studied in the same campus with my girlfriend, and her boyfriend is actually my senior. The person i know also has an older cousin, who is my client. How funny is that. How i can connected to another person thru such a long list of person. Funny, isn’t it?

While i was waiting for my flight to Batam earlier this week, i met a guy (mid 40, tall, chinese), i saw him. I nod my head, altho i lost where i’ve met him, who is he etc. He saw me, confused, try to remember, “where did i meet this man?”. I asked myself, and challenged myself to find the answer.

Finally, i got it. He was the guy i met in Belitung, during my visit to a smelting-company. He is a supplier for that company, and we had a conversation in Belitung.

And, last week, an administrative staff of one of my clients, told me that she saw me in a wedding. While i know the groom, she actually knows the groom’s sister. So coincidence!!

See? Its a funny thing actually going on. How about everyone in this planet are connected thru some kind of mystery, and who knows at the end, we are actually just a big family.

    A very big family.
