  • Die Hard’ed My Self

    Finally, DIE HARD 4.0! 🙂
Watched John McClane in action last night with my brother. It wassss goood, for me. John’s clearly know what he needs to do huh? Haha. In Die Hard 4.0, there’re more jokes than previous Die Hards. So, during the top notch action, you still can laugh yourself out.

John McClane: [after covering a webcam] Freddy, can you trace these guys.
Thomas Gabriel: Detective, covering the camera does not turn off the microphone.

Especially, when John has to do something in digitallized world, where his enemy was internet, and he has no clue on computers wakakkaa.. Check out imdb.com for more information.
One annoying thing is the person sat in front of me (one row ahead), i have no idea why he has
such a big big head! So, i could not totally rest my body in the chair, damn!

  • Honor

I visited a potential client yesterday. And, believe it or not, there was a welcome sign, and it sounded like this “Welcome to Our Honorable Guest: Suwandi“. And i just, waaaaaa, that was my name. I told my colleague “Johan, see that? Honorable guest!”.

Not just a “guest”, but a “honorable” guest! I can not believe what I see. Altho, my colleague told me that it kinda common to have such welcome sign, I ignored him. To me, that was something. Let’s have serious thought, sometimes people really honor you, respect you, welcome you, admire you, and another serious positive attitude. Not only “sometimes”, but “most of the times”. But, how many times do you accept that fact? How many times have you consistently tell yourself “I am not good, I am persona non grata, I am not respected, not honored”.

Perhaps, after yesterday, i will treat myself with respect,… and honor! 🙂

  • 2nd Day of Jakarta

Back to my routine again. Yesterday, I visited my client, and whuuuuu felt extremely tired. Recalling that the night before I took a 9 pm flight from Manila to Jakarta, and jumped my self to my bed around 2am.
Woke up at 6am and drive to Thamrin. Fiuhh… had a cup of latte and did some coaching session with my client.

Today, second day after my return, I feel more refreshed, spending my 10-hour office routine, did some “tweaking” with my next week training material, completed some reports, several short meetings, and bang here i’m back to my desk.

  • Taxi in Manila

Been my fourth day in Manila. Certainly this city is lacking any infrastructure for tourism. The transportation system is even worse than Jakarta, particularly their taxis. I can not believe I have to wait for like hundreds of taxis and they asked ‘where are you going?’, and when we mention one place or another, they’ll THINK about it, consider, and later answers ‘I dont go there’, or ‘traffic’! For God’s sake, how can a tourist goes to one place to another?

Most taxis are the same, averagely their cars have been running for 10+ years. Air-con is bad. Smelly. Annoying sounds from the wheel, like something’s gonna drop, either their velg, their chassis, or probably the engine. Sometimes, they play radio which is not entertaining. If you lucky, you can find a driver who drives you anywhere you go (can not believe i have to mention this), a driver who uses meter, a driver who doesnt play radio with such a noisy volume, and also probably he’s a good driver (note: i dont want to mention this, but they certainly don’t know when to use brake, when to push the pedal, or when to slow down).

However, the chances are slim, my friend, to have those above mentioned taxi.

Jakarta vs Manila = 2 : 0 (actually the score must be 1 : 0, but thinking about BlueBird and SilverBird, I give extra point for Jakarta).
