One of my bosses has a favorite quote: “Assumption is the mother of all fucked-up!”. He repeated in many many many times. I like to assume. That’s why, comprehending his statement is one of the hardest thing to do.

Intinya, semua orang punya satu layer asumsi, prejudice, sebelum benar-benar menelaah pikiran dan hati lawan bicara (read: orang lain). It hits me. Kalau dipikir-pikir, sepertinya I (read: we?) tend to do so. We thought we know many things (if not all). And sometimes, when we are talking on certain subjects that we think they are in our knowledge domain, it is very very hard to listen carefully to others and to really really looking for new things. We thought: I know that. You don’t know.
Hmmmm… Certainly this is something I need to fix. I am not going to be fucked-up.
