Common Sense, Nonsense, and Everything in Between

India, Astronomy, and the Joke

The funniest thing i read today is how India Army thought Jupiter and Venus Were Actually Chinese Spy Drones! I read in Gizmodo how “…the Indian army had spent six months watching and keeping track of the “spy drones”. The Telegraph Calcutta says that the Indian army had documented 329 sightings of the unidentified object from August 2012 to February 2013, with 155 of those times being in violation of the Line of Actual Control that separates India from China…”

Laughing out loud! 🙂 Yes, you may. This is probably one of the silliest and dumbest event in the history of mankind ever since people understood astronomy. Indian really made my day today!

Every time I would like to think of something funny re astronomy, stars, planets, etc, there’s always this one story that pops up:

Holmes and Dr Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you see?

Watson replied: I see millions and millions of stars.

Holmes said: and what do you deduce from that?

Watson replied: Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, quite likely there are some planets like earth out there. And if there are a few planets like earth out there, there might also be life.

And Holmes said: Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody stole our tent!!

Have a nice weekend, guys! Don’t forget to wish upon a falling star.
