  • Wonder – Be With You

    Lately, i never know why, but i keep thinking of the purpose of life. I sometimes do wonder and wander about it. I once told my good-friend that i am kind of “result-driven” person, i can only accomplish something if i can think of what’s in the other end. Not result oriented, but result driven.

    Taking the note into Life (with capital L) same thing occurs. What is the purpose of this Life then? I couldn’t at least think of one. What the hell am i thinking? But can you think of one, at least? Tell me!

    Life’s short, my man. If life has no purpose, than life must be only a scene of experiencing. Dont ask me experiencing for what. I dont know (yet). Like Alphaville’s Forever Young, “…sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip…“. We ain’t gonna live forever.
    It’s a short trip.
    A 118 minutes of rolling movie.
    A shot
    from a gun.
    From the first time you know your parent, to the last day that you want to forget everything. What’s beyond is a mystery.

    I watched a japanese movie last week. Be With You. It’s a damn good movie. It is so good that i have no plan to return it soon. Haha. It’s a big hit in 2004 in Japan. Watching the movie, you’ll learn that maybe life’s is NOT about looking for that purpose(s) i’ve mentioned earlier.
    Perhaps, all is about experiencing.
    A slice of your life.
    A package of images from a large set of it.
    A chapter of the novel.
    Love stories.
    Your sadness.
    The day you achieve your dream. Or the day you break the rules.
    The day you cross the line. The day you ended.

    All the slices, slices, slices.
    Repackaged at the end.
    And later, you forget.
    You forget, amazingly.

  • Dream

    There’re some little funny things about managing your sleep. Well, i’ve been in some problem with sleep, to be honest. Sometimes, it takes hour for me to sleep, and I always wake up early like five thirty, or six. But, thats not an interesting subject to discuss, right? There’s more.

    Ever study your dreams? I haven’t, but those guys like Freud had studied ‘dreams’, also Jung. If i read their paper, damn!, so complicated. Dreams have been deeply analysed by those folks. Last night, i watched an interview with Dave Grohl on tv, they mentioned about 2 of previous Foo Fighters video about dreams (forget which are).

    He mentioned something about “if i’m in good dreams, i dont want to wake up”. He also mentioned that he can controls his dreams. If he thinks the dream is good and nice, he doesnt want to wake up. He said he jumps in his dreams, moved cars, etc. Haha… that’s cool, isn’t it?

    Believe it or not, i sometimes do the same. I’ve this little ‘ability’ to adjust my dreams. Half conscioused, i add more things in the dreams, i can decide something or made up some options. When I’m in a good dreams, like being with my girlfriend who is now so far away, i dont want to wake up.

    This life is a dream or not?
    Ever try to wake up? What if you wake up and you find a far worse life?

  • Plain Water

    Just realised something!

    I have not drink a single glass of plain water since i woke up this morning 😮 Minutes after taking a bath, i made my self a cup of coffee. And then, directly drove my self for a 30minute ride to office. Once, i got my lazy ass to one comfy office chair, i began reading paper. And then, got some working papers which i’m so lazy to look at (today). At 10.30, got myself another cup of coffee.

    And 11.40, after my quick lunch (got myself Nasi Padang, which is nottt good!), i was looking for my glass, i cannot find it. Thats when i realised i haven’t drink plain water today. Although, drinking coffee means drinking water (coffee is only the dressing for the taste and color of the plain water, right?), it is still not the same.

    Drinking water (plain or not) is substantial for our health! Thats what i read. Also mentioned, must be at least 2 litres! 🙂 Damn! Thats a lot! But, those health-conscious people have created a simple to-do list to keep yourself reach the minimum daily intake.

    • Start as you mean to go on, with a glass of water when you wake.
    • If you’re at work, keep a jug of fresh water on your desk so it’s within easy reach to top your glass up throughout the day.
    • If you’re out and about during the day, carry a bottle of water so you can have a drink whenever you want.
    • Increase your intake of fresh fruit and vegetables; they have a high water content as well as many other health benefits.

  • At Least,…


    Wakaka… kinda surprised my self this morning. I’ve never won anything before, never got any gift, lottery or sort of. But this morning, while i was making my self a cup of coffeee, i found a Rp 1.000,- gift inside the package of the sachet.

    Ya,… i know it’s only a single thousand that cant even pay a 1-hour parking in Jakarta, but still, feels like winning something! ^_^

    I’ve seen at least 2 of my friends winning prize as valuable as a car, another friend won Sony television set, a Fujitsu laptop etc. But, seeing my self winning something is reaaaally something. Hmm… better let this be a good start so next month or next coming weeks can win something bigger.

    I wish it was a car, tho :p

    Hmm… some money to add, also good.

    Err… plus some travel trips.

    Hhh, maybe plus a good laptop.

    And, another amount of cash money.
