  • Fire Fighting Doctor

    A true story.

I just met a friend. Actually, i was in that noodle place with a friend. And then, meet another one, and another one (coincidentally), so there were four of us.

The last guy, (call him J), told us a story, a funny story, which is not so funny on his side 😀
He had his leg cramp and he mentioned how painful it was, but he thought that it will go away in a few days.

After a few days, it’s not getting better, so he visited a doctor, a general practitioner. The doctor diagnosed and then gave him some sort of pain killer, a.k.a paracetamol. Once a day, said the doctor.

He followed the instruction for a few days, but still ‘not getting better’, so the doctor suggested him to triple the dose to 3 times a day. AND, the doctor then gave him an antasid for his stomach, because the paracetamol will increase the acidity level. So after the 2nd visit, he must consume another drug for his stomach.

So, he listened to the doctor (which is his neighbour).

Later on, 2 weeks later, still not getting better. He mentioned to his doctor that it was very stressful.

Again, the doctor, precribe him another drug: anti-depression for his mind!! Wakakaka.

    😀

The doctor is so good at fire-fighting! :p

  • Sick by Bakwan

So, i just recovered from a minor sickness. Cant eat, or even drink. So many plans to be done this week, but all are now still in the to-do-list. Damn. So, now i am listening to David Allen’s Getting Things Done tape, previously i read his book, and try to practice several key actions. Some works, some were not. The idea is to get everything outside your head, and put it into a reliable system that your subsconscious mind belief. I tried it.

Only, sometimes I “accidentally forget” to put that into that sort of system (i use a combination of pda-phone, now blackberry, and my journalist pad). I really need to work this out.

Anyway, excited about April, am having a block leave. Back to my hometown for a couple of days with Ike. (and i swear to God, i will not have that stupid bakwan KJ – that bakwan is my only suspect of my sickness).

    Happy New Year, Everyone!
    Great 2008 and Greater 2009!
2008 has many ups and downs, lows and highs; but still 2008 is one of the best years. Believe there are still more to come. Cheers for 2008 and 2009, and better year! 🙂
  • Well Well Weil

Am not a big enthusiast of watches. I remember I have only purchased 2 watches in my whole life. First one was a simple Casio, a 2003 purchase, my first salary, i can recalled. It was very cheap, not more than 200K IDR. After I moved to my current company, I than purchased another one, another simple Esprit, back in 2003 or 4. Four to five years ago.

    That’s it.
Am looking for a watch now. I like Bonia Tesoro, but “…damn it…”, not a work-out guy, my wrists are 🙁 smaller than the diameter of the watch! Damn.
Last week, I finally found the love of my wrist. So relieving, like “Here you go, I’ve been looking for you my whole life!”.
So, I asked the store-girl, and then I went out of the store empty handed. Stupid price. Why is everything numbered in money? Way too expensive for my budget.
Told my wrist to forget it. Raymond Weil it is, my friend.
This brand is not within the 1st tier of fine watch, I can’t even imagine Blancpain or Girard-Perregaux.
