  • Sick by Bakwan

So, i just recovered from a minor sickness. Cant eat, or even drink. So many plans to be done this week, but all are now still in the to-do-list. Damn. So, now i am listening to David Allen’s Getting Things Done tape, previously i read his book, and try to practice several key actions. Some works, some were not. The idea is to get everything outside your head, and put it into a reliable system that your subsconscious mind belief. I tried it.

Only, sometimes I “accidentally forget” to put that into that sort of system (i use a combination of pda-phone, now blackberry, and my journalist pad). I really need to work this out.

Anyway, excited about April, am having a block leave. Back to my hometown for a couple of days with Ike. (and i swear to God, i will not have that stupid bakwan KJ – that bakwan is my only suspect of my sickness).

  • The Bank Job

This movie is probably one of the very best, I level “The Bank Job” alongside my other favorite: Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Both are very good movies. While the later one is not a true story, The Bank Job is. The movie is entertaining with funny english accent, although the plot is not as complicated as Lock Stock or Snatch (both directed by my favorite director slash writer: Guy Ritchie, forgive his ex-wife’s Swept Away).

Kevin Swain: We’re not bank robbers.
Terry Leather: Maybe that’s why we could get away with it.
Dave Shilling: It’s a bit daunting, isn’t it?
Terry Leather: You know what scares me more? Living and dying with nothing to show for it. You know how old Mozart was when he composed his first minuet?
    Dave Shilling: No.
Terry Leather: Five. Five! A fucking minuet!
Kevin Swain: And how would you know that fact, Terry?
Terry Leather: Because it’s tattooed on that stripper’s arse, Kevin. What the fuck’s it matter how I know? It’s a fact and you’re missing the point, Kev. What I’m trying to say is, we stop fucking about and stop picking the shit from under our fingernails.

    Hahaha, 😀 “…tattooed on that stripper’s arse…”!
If you like this movie, you might also love two titles I mentioned earlier, and Rock n Rolla, also The Italian Job. Enjoy!

  • New Year

    First post in 2009!

    Happy New Year, Everyone!
    Great 2008 and Greater 2009!
2008 has many ups and downs, lows and highs; but still 2008 is one of the best years. Believe there are still more to come. Cheers for 2008 and 2009, and better year! 🙂
  • Well Well Weil

Am not a big enthusiast of watches. I remember I have only purchased 2 watches in my whole life. First one was a simple Casio, a 2003 purchase, my first salary, i can recalled. It was very cheap, not more than 200K IDR. After I moved to my current company, I than purchased another one, another simple Esprit, back in 2003 or 4. Four to five years ago.

    That’s it.
Am looking for a watch now. I like Bonia Tesoro, but “…damn it…”, not a work-out guy, my wrists are 🙁 smaller than the diameter of the watch! Damn.
Last week, I finally found the love of my wrist. So relieving, like “Here you go, I’ve been looking for you my whole life!”.
So, I asked the store-girl, and then I went out of the store empty handed. Stupid price. Why is everything numbered in money? Way too expensive for my budget.
Told my wrist to forget it. Raymond Weil it is, my friend.
This brand is not within the 1st tier of fine watch, I can’t even imagine Blancpain or Girard-Perregaux.
