  • The End is The Beginning is The End

    Haven’t watched 2012 yet! Although, regardless the movie, I am totally aware of the end. It is not about whether we’re gonna end together, or not, the purest and simplest fact is ‘we are all will not live forever’.

    I just watch Covey’s 8th Habit video, and there’s a 2-minute clip at the end of the presentation, the video started with “Life is short…., so live”, and then end with “Life is short…., so?”.

    Life is short. So, LIVE.

    And life ain’t no beauty show
    We don’t know where tomorrow ends

    I sometimes end my day with a negative thought and mood, mostly affected by professional relationship/encounters during the day. Sometimes, even worse, I angry with other people.

    After years of living, i do have the awareness that all that emotions, all that thoughts, all that negativity are all unnecessary, are all to be avoided. (Only, sometimes, i do lose my nerve! :p). Good thing is I now have the awareness, i have the consciousness. Bad thing is I am troubled at implementing the Good Thing. It’s a matter of time. 🙂

    Don’t ruin your day with negative emotion. Stay positive, think positive.
    Pump your energy to your passion. Smilers never lose, frowners never win.

    I learned some from the books, some from my mentors, and some from my mistakes.

  • Rewind #1: Upbeat!

    Reading my friend’s facebook status “Friday never hesitate….It’s Friday..I’m in love!“, it reminds me of my old time favorites. The Cure’s Friday I’m in Love is certainly one of my old time and all time favorites!

    Then, i tried to check my 35 GBs mp3 collection, doh!, way too many to check one by one, then i made a decision to quickly browse through and see which one catch my eyes.
    And, guys, these are within the list, i label these ‘Upbeat’:

  • Control Your Own

    I had an argument, er discussion, with my colleagues. I was not happy, yeah let’s say pretty much “upset” about the subject and its outcomes. And suddenly it just hit my mind that ‘..what the hell that I am unhappy about?!..”, I was recalling to few simple statements from Stephen Covey, and urgh I felt that I was pretty much controlled by external factors. I surrendered my own capability to control my feeling.

    Man, we all should really practice the very basic of seven habit of effective people. It’s not easy, in fact it is a huge initiative – it’s hard, provocative -, but at the end we all really need to master the all the habits, don’t we?

  • August Updates

    August is good. Our team successfully ran a seminar (60+ participants). And, I went back to my hometown for a few days and enjoy blackouts. The best thing in August is i got many many ideas! 🙂

    It’s never been this easy to get some ideas. They are just keep flowing in from anywhere. Fantastic! Love August.
    September is just few days ahead, and I am gonna love September, as much as I love August! 🙂 Philippines Airlines tickets is in my hand. And Ike got our Boracay tickets also. *grin
    Uuuu, i found a very talented artist in August: Carla Bruni. Well, most friends didn’t like her, but tell you the truth: her voice is sexy, and her beauty did not affect my opinion! :p (altho, yeah, i have included her in my Top 10 list).

    Yeap! Finally, this is my 309th post!

    Have been blogging since June 2005, hmmm more than 4 years! Just read random post from 2005, gosh, it was so fun back to those days, my first post in this blog was about my trip to Surabaya where I stayed in Sheraton Surabaya, and then, the very next post was about my trip to Semarang to visit Ike, and I stayed in Novotel Semarang.
    Few days later, I was in Medan, stayed in Novotel Medan, for a project. And just after that, few days from the Medan trip, I was in Makasar, and I didn’t post anything about my stay, just a note from the sea side. 🙂
    Few days after Makasar, I was in Bandung with my brother, Rika, and Ike, and then flew to Bontang. Later, went back to Pekanbaru.
    Wew, i could not believe myself. I traveled all over (well, not all over, but quite many places) Indonesia in just 3 months. Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. I think my trip to Papua is in 2005.
    Anyway, just a quick flashback to 4 years ago. 2009 is fantastic, everything is fabulous!
    Yeah, the word is fabulous! This my 309th post, it’s not the number that matter, it’s about how I can stay writing craps. 😀
