  • Luis Enrique dan Di Matteo

    Prestasi Roma 2011/2012 bisa dikatakan jelek. Pemain baru yang masuk di awal musim seperti membawa angin segar, katakanlah Stek, Osvaldo, Pjanic, Kjaer, Bojan, hingga new-found goal getter Booorrrrini. Luis Enrique di”duga” akan membawa sukses Barcelona ke Roma. Tetapi, Roma ternyata tidak juga bisa sesukses zaman Capello.

    Terakhir, Roma kalah manis dari Juventus 0-4. Bah. I blame Luis Enrique. LE.

    Ada yang lantas menulis “Why should we blame LE?”, “Changing LE will not solve the problem!”. Well, you should tell Chelsky! Chelsea mengganti AVB dengan Roberto di Matteo dan dalam 15 pertandingan, di Matteo mencatat 10 kemenangan, 4 seri, 1 kalah. Chelsea lolos ke Final Champions League.

    Dalam situasi seperti Roma, mengganti pelatih adalah pilihan paling tepat. He should be responsible for all this “mess”. Roma adalah tim dengan defense terburuk dalam 12 besar Liga Italia. He failed. He had picked his new recruits, he had the authority with the lineup and strategy. Those are the areas he failed most. I don’t get it when they couldn’t sign good defender. Heinze and Burdisso? Not type of players who will need to defense against Matri, Ibrahimovic!

    Apakah mengganti pelatih akan mengubah nasib? Sangat mungkin, jika pemilihan pelatihnya tepat. Orang paling tepat saat ini adalah Fabio Capello (well… he prefer staying in London though), kemudian I would be thrilled with Prandelli (unlikely!), even I like Spalletti more!

    And, for the you-know-what, the Roma poster is the one I bought 12 years ago!

  • The Tourist

    Cousin brought up this movie in his Facebook Timeline. I like The Tourist, probably because of Jolie and Depp, and probably because of the story. I like how the writer, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who is also the director of the movie tell the story. Quite a light movie which you enjoy from your sofa with some pop-corn. I somehow recall that I watched the movie with Chef Tony’s Popcorn.

    I am a fans of this genre, bits of mystery, bits of action, bits of ass kicking, bits of comedy. And, I love the small chats! Always. In fact, you can always find something interesting in the small chats. I remember quoting The Bank Job:

    Yeah, parents told me this. I think all parents must have told their kids the same thing. To understand this statement itself, you must be a parent first.

    I never took these words seriously, I didn’t get it. Setelah Aiden mengisi hidup, barulah saya paham. We do not love our parents as much as we love our kids. Or at least, we have not. We get angry easily to our parents, we think negatively (sometimes), we ignore them the other time.

    To be at the other end, saya jadi lebih paham, it is not a kid’s fault. Ini memang normal, anak belum pernah menjadi orang tua. Orang tua sudah pernah menjadi seorang anak. Jadi, memang benar orang tua harus lebih berbesar hati.
