  • 2nd Day of Jakarta

Back to my routine again. Yesterday, I visited my client, and whuuuuu felt extremely tired. Recalling that the night before I took a 9 pm flight from Manila to Jakarta, and jumped my self to my bed around 2am.
Woke up at 6am and drive to Thamrin. Fiuhh… had a cup of latte and did some coaching session with my client.

Today, second day after my return, I feel more refreshed, spending my 10-hour office routine, did some “tweaking” with my next week training material, completed some reports, several short meetings, and bang here i’m back to my desk.

  • Taxi in Manila

Been my fourth day in Manila. Certainly this city is lacking any infrastructure for tourism. The transportation system is even worse than Jakarta, particularly their taxis. I can not believe I have to wait for like hundreds of taxis and they asked ‘where are you going?’, and when we mention one place or another, they’ll THINK about it, consider, and later answers ‘I dont go there’, or ‘traffic’! For God’s sake, how can a tourist goes to one place to another?

Most taxis are the same, averagely their cars have been running for 10+ years. Air-con is bad. Smelly. Annoying sounds from the wheel, like something’s gonna drop, either their velg, their chassis, or probably the engine. Sometimes, they play radio which is not entertaining. If you lucky, you can find a driver who drives you anywhere you go (can not believe i have to mention this), a driver who uses meter, a driver who doesnt play radio with such a noisy volume, and also probably he’s a good driver (note: i dont want to mention this, but they certainly don’t know when to use brake, when to push the pedal, or when to slow down).

However, the chances are slim, my friend, to have those above mentioned taxi.

Jakarta vs Manila = 2 : 0 (actually the score must be 1 : 0, but thinking about BlueBird and SilverBird, I give extra point for Jakarta).

  • Die Hard

Went to a mall in Manila with Ike last Saturday (damn, i forget the name of the mall), having a dinner at Ten Titas. We had lug-lug noodle, yakitori, mango-shake, and cosmopolitan. More like a light dinner. Nothing very very heavy for a 8pm meal.

Later, went to cinema around the mall, just looking at something worth watching, which were none. But, something catch my eyes. DIE HARD 4.0! John McClane is BACK!
Can not wait, man! This world needs you, John! I can not imagine, if there are several John McClanes, Jack Bauers, working together to save the world :p

Anyway, the trip to Manila was easy. Taking AirAsia to Batam, BatamFast ferry to Singapore, cousin’s Civic to ChoaChuKang, Civic again to Changi BT, TigerAirways to Clark, Philtranco bus to Manila, and terrible taxi to Sampaloc (with my lovely girl-friend). I’ll write more about the trip later.

Today, doing nothing! She’s doing some residency stuff in Jose Reyes Hospital, and I’m blogging and flickr’ing at her place.

  • Equation

So uninspired lately, thumbs are numb and my keyboard just idling. Must be something mind-consuming that disabling my ability to write. Dunno what issit actually, my work, my other work, my other other work, my life, my dreams, or what. And it makes me think, really, why is that when I have something that is mind-consuming I have to let go of so many other things.

I think that human are made with certain equation, probably it would be dream x ability , spirit x life support x health x wealth x time. See? when you’re lacking of one of those or many of those, that is what really kills you, because it will disable your life. Currently, i think i’m lacking 2 of them.

    You?

  • Commandments: The 10th

Having a conversation with my girl friend’s sister, and one subject to another, I then know that she uses her neighbour’s bandwidth all this time. And I jokingly tell her that her action actually against God’s Ten Commandments. :p You know, one with ‘stealing from others’.

And then, i wiki myself for Ten Commandments, and i find that ‘stealing, in terms of coveting and envying’ is the 10th Commandment. I read and read.

Neither shall you covet your neighbour’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbour’s house, or field, or male or female slave, or ox, or pet, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

And I do respect and honor the Ten Commandments. I do.
But, it’s funny tho when we read about “desire your neighbour’s ox or pet”. Hihihi. I believe, that once the Commandment was rewritten these days, it will says “Neither shall you desire your neighbour’s properties, bandwidth, husband/wife, nor secret of them, respect their privacy.”

    Hehe. Anyway, just an insight.
